Volunteer Interest 2026-2027

The PTSO Volunteer Program is one of the best ways to support the students and staff of Sunlake Academy!

We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible support of our Ravens community!
We’d love to have you join us as a volunteer this year. Please take a moment to review the brief descriptions of each opportunity below.

Some committees need more help than others, and smaller ones may not be able to include everyone who expresses interest. Please sign up for ALL opportunities that interest you—a committee liaison will be in touch once the school year begins.

Note: This is NOT a final commitment or a guarantee of a role. It simply helps us connect the right volunteers to the right opportunities! Volunteer sign-ups for specific events will be shared closer to each event date. This form is for those interested in serving on committees or supporting in ongoing ways throughout the year.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK!
These can take a few weeks to process, so please be proactive and complete yours when school begins. We will share information on how to do that when it is available.

To signup you must either login or provide a first name, last name, and email address. Login

You should have access to this email account and be able to receive emails related to this volunteering opportunity.

Homeroom Parent Opportunities

Interested in Volunteering as a Homeroom Parent or Classroom Helper for 2026–2027?

Homeroom Parents (HRPs) serve as a key link between the teacher, PTSO, and classroom families. The primary responsibility is communication—sending timely emails and occasional follow-ups throughout the school year. Each teacher has unique preferences and expectations. Some may request more involvement than others, so flexibility is key. HRPs should always take direction from the teacher and offer support without overstepping. *HRPs will be asked to plan and assist in certain grade level activities.

Classroom Helpers are volunteers the teacher may call on occasionally to assist with projects, events, or classroom needs. Teachers may have several helpers to pull from as needed.

If you’re interested in either of these roles for the 2026–2027 school year, please make sure to sign up via the QR code at meet the teacher. We will also post it to the PTSO facebook page with signups being through the first Friday of school (August 14th).

Please note: Signing up via the QR code does not commit or guarantee you a role—it simply helps us gauge interest and share names with teachers once class rosters are available.
